Rangoli, mehndi competitions mark first day
Dehradun, February 24
The first day of the union week at DAV PG College was entirely a fun-filled affair. The students participated in rangoli and mehndi competitions.
Chief guest on the occasion, Speaker of the state Assembly Harbans Kapoor, inaugurated the function, while Deepti Rawat, state BJP spokesperson, accompanied him as the guest of honour.
The winners of the competitions were announced in the latter part of the day. Shikha Kandari, Shikha Verma and Dipika Verma bagged the first, second and third position, respectively, in the mehndi competition. Shikha Sharma and Nargis were declared first and second while Durga and Kritika collectively bagged the third position in the rangoli competition.
Dr Hariom Singh and Dr Rakhi Upadhyay were the judges.
